Design

Design is central to my experience with web development. I love getting into the creative flow and making something new. All my life, I have been active in the arts. During my senior year in high school, I won a Gold Key on the National level in the Scholastic Art and Writing awards and attended the recognition ceremony in Washington DC.

In college, I narrowed my academic focus to music, but never stopped creating visual art. I have designed album covers, fliers and posters.

Moving into the field of web design, I find it even more intriguing to design layouts, information architecture and the overall functionallity and flow of web sites.

I designed the last two 1,000,000 Light Years ep covers in Adobe Illustrator. I like how easy it is to create very precise geometries in Illustrator. This alignment carries over quite nicely to web development.

Here is the source inspiration for the Frosted Breaks LFK logo alongside the finished logo. I used a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator to create a vector image from the original jpeg. The final image is scalable and can be configured to fit the specific parameters of the various mediums in which it is used.
